TATA photon which came with a big bang and a relief for Kashmir Internet users has lost it’s vitality and has become like a little fast dial-up connection over more than a year of it’s launch in J&K. The service which provided a download of over 2 
Mbps now hardly provides 512 Kbps in prime locations in Kashmir. The result is obvious, the number of subscribers have outgrown the optimum bandwidth required to feed that number of subscribers. I am personally looking forward to do away with my photon which is an unlimited download plan and was a good buddy during traveling. The speeds are still good enough in Delhi, upto 2.8 Mbps, but Jammu and Srinagar it’s deteriorating. It’s time that the Photon team wakes up to the limiting bandwidth constraints and start providing optimum promised service to it’s subscribers. Once the focus remains on good high speed service, business will automatically improve for them.
